I used to Bounce at Apple Eddies in the early 80's. I started about the time Bob Rains(sp) and Tootski were ending their run. There were a few good local groups I got to hear, don't remember one name of any band. Only had to throw one guy out in 2 years, 2 death threats and one guy with a lazer pointer that I thought was going to be a saw off shot gun! That was the start of my Phd studies in drugs and alcohol!

I'm going to throw out two names....The Graduate and Yomachi's. I loved both of them.

Does anyone remember Ara's Apartments?? {I don't, but have become curious about it while reading Mark Arax's book "In my Father's Name" which is in the main about the unsolved murder of his father, who owned the bar. He describes in considerable detail the location of the place (near the Clinton Ave Hwy 99 overpass--an area I knew well but, not being a "bar person", have no recollection of this establishment)}.
Though I was still living in Fresno at the time of the murder (January, 1972) I don't remember hearing or reading about it, and only became aware of it through discovering the writing of Mark Arax.
Anyway, this was evidently a popular place; someone reading this forum must have some recall. Comments, please!
