Casner's Drug Store

~
Do you remember the Country Boys Market with its wooden floors? Walter Smiths was the place to go for clothes on the Fulton Mall. Penny Candy had great blacklight posters and don't forget Whitie's Pet Store on Blackstone. What vintage retail do you remember growing up in Fresno?

Casner's Drug Store

Casner's Drug store was next door and was more of a small dept store. Went to Mclane with his son in the early 70's. His father retired I think in the nineties and has since past away.

*Note from admin: Newspaper clipping inserted from 1964 which announces the closing of the downtown location.

I recall the location at Cedar very near Shields, about where the Betty Rodriguez Library currently is. Mostly what I remember is there was a slot car track in the basement where I spent many hours racing.
