Johnnie's Cafe on Weber Ave-

Pulling into the Mars Drive-in for a Lime Rickey. Ordering up a burger from the car hop at the A&W on Blackstone. Checking out the action at Bob's Big Boy. Your favorite grilled cheese sandwich at the Woolworths Counter. Don't forget loading up at Perry Boys Smorgy. What eats do you miss?

Johnnie's Cafe on Weber Ave-

Post by mrDJ105 » Wed Oct 18, 2017 9:27 pm

Curious to see if anyone logging in could remember an eatery/bar/store combo on Weber ave. called Johnnie's Cafe located on Weber ave. near Marks.. I believe the owner's name was Johnny Montevecchi and his wife Margaret.. the owner died around 1988-1990, the cafe/store closed within a couple years after his death. I spent a lot of time there with family and friends during the 60's & 70's.. Johnnie's jukebox took most of my change when i was there.. everybody there thought Buck Owens and Merle Haggard were immortal gods during the 60's... such cool memories :)
