White Front, the first Walmart

~
Do you remember the Country Boys Market with its wooden floors? Walter Smiths was the place to go for clothes on the Fulton Mall. Penny Candy had great blacklight posters and don't forget Whitie's Pet Store on Blackstone. What vintage retail do you remember growing up in Fresno?

That was a very interesting store design. Had great doughnuts too.

I would go there after school to buy the new released albums... Beatles, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, etc.

I recall White Front, being dragged in for yarn. The successor to the store front was Mervyn’s.
