Memories about growing up in:

I have been trying to remember that cafe/art house that used to be on clark st.? off of divisidero? It was torn down when community hospital expanded and now a parking garage is on it. I remember going in there once after pestering my parents to take me there. The place was always being repaired but filled with colorful art and mosiacs. I remember it being there until the early 1980's but then it was gone. Any information and even old pics would be great.

Community Hospital didn't start its expansion until 1997 or shortly thereafter. I used to live next door and the City commandeered the property for the hospital in 1997. I remember seeing that cafe, although I never ate there.
