Pulling into the Mars Drive-in for a Lime Rickey. Ordering up a burger from the car hop at the A&W on Blackstone. Checking out the action at Bob's Big Boy. Your favorite grilled cheese sandwich at the Woolworths Counter. Don't forget loading up at Perry Boys Smorgy. What eats do you miss?

Fuddruckers in Fresno?

Post by Alrodrigu » Mon Oct 09, 2017 9:25 pm

On a wine soaked weekend some friends and I were discussing long lost Fresno eateries. Half of us remembered that there was a Fuddruckers while the other half had zero recollection of it. Help us settle a bet. Where was it? When did it operate? Or are some of us just crazy?

Was it in Fig Garden shopping center on the western edge and along Palm Ave?

Just for clarity, Fuddruckers was a few doors north of FGV on east side of Palm. Brick building that's now a bank.

I remember when that Fuddrucker's opened in Figgarden Village (sometime in the 80s). As a newer, trendier restaurant, it was a big deal. We went there several times during its first year or two, but then the excitement faded away. It's too bad that it closed. There are other Fuddrucker's locations still thriving around Southern California.
