Going WAY back -- The Shrimp House

Pulling into the Mars Drive-in for a Lime Rickey. Ordering up a burger from the car hop at the A&W on Blackstone. Checking out the action at Bob's Big Boy. Your favorite grilled cheese sandwich at the Woolworths Counter. Don't forget loading up at Perry Boys Smorgy. What eats do you miss?

Going WAY back -- The Shrimp House

Postby Pepe Lepew » Wed Aug 02, 2017 9:47 pm

When I was little, really little, my parents owned The Shrimp House. It was located at the corner of Shaw and Blackstone (yup, that corner). It closed in 1968, became like a dry cleaner's afterward, then Circuit City was in that spot for about 20 years. Does anyone remember it?

That might be Blackstone and Barstow avenues. Thats where Circuit City was in their second home.
