Frenchi's Drive In Burger Place on West Avenue

Post by meechmom » Fri Sep 17, 2010 1:52 pm

Does anyone remember the drive in burger place on West Avenue called Frenchi's? Near I think Shields or Ashlan. The guy that owned it was French, thus the name Frenchi's and he made the most incredible French Burger. Just a burger served on a French Roll. This would be around 1967- 1970. Was short lived but I will always remember that burger!

It was on the north-east corner of west and shields. I can still picture him. Later became Kentucky Fried Chicken, where I worked a summer around 1966 or 67. May have been the first KFC?
