Who remembers the Towne & Country Lodge on old Highway 99 with it's distinctive windmill?

A much later version of the windmill, now it is on the ground instead of built on top of the restaurant.

Folks having fun on the putting green. Here you can see the windmill is still located over the coffee shop.

In the 1950's, windmills were seen on quite a few Fresno landmarks. The Farmers Market on Divisadero had one as well as the El Rancho motel.
