Fresno Dragways

A big part of my growing up was sketching dragsters of all things! Rails as they were called was a very popular part of racing back in the day. And what a fantastic place Fresno Dragways was! Located in "Rasin City", it was the place to go if you loved fast cars. And like the ad says, it was dangerious.

Caption reads: World Mark In Making The starting flag is whipped down at the Fresno Dragways and the D/gas dragster driven by Chico Breschini of Concord leaps ahead of the A/Hot roadster driven by Don Berry of Selma in the top elimination event. Breschini set a world mark in winning the contest. Dated 03-01-1965.
