Sherman Clay 1133 Fulton St., Schilling Music Co. 1239 Fulton, Hockett-Cowan Music Co. 1254 Fulton. That's all I could find for the fifties.

Perhaps you are thinking of Hockett-Cowan Music Store? There was a record store on the mall in the late 60's as I shopped there but I don't remember the name.

Can anyone remember the names of the music stores on Fulton Street near Fresno in the 1950s before the Fulton Mall?

One was larger, had musical instruments and sheet music, and several listening booths and was next door to Roos Brothers,

while the other was across the street next to a five and dime store (Newberry's or Woolworths) and had only one listening booth.
