Thank you, Pam. Love Radio Park, very iconic and I drove past it a million times. Post a picture of your Dad and the park, if you can.

Radio Park

Robert Henry Bell, Radio Park, Fresno.
My father, Robert Henry Bell, 1903-1960,
related to Alexander Graham Bell, built Radio Park
with his friends. The park is located at Clinton and First Streets, next to the Fresno Art Museum. My father went to the historical Fresno Technical School, built in 1896, which was originally located at O and Stanislaus Streets. He took radio repair courses, beginning in 1918, and graduated in 1921. He then went to work with San Joaquin Light & Power Company, at age 20, as a Radio Communications Technician, when it was constructed in 1923. My father loved his career. San Joaquin Light & Power Company eventually became PGE/Pacific Gas & Electric Company. My father was employed there from 1923-1960. "Camaro," Pam Bell.
